Few year back, there was some controversy regarding the use of lINGADEV instead of Koodal Sangam in Basava vachan's.

Can you please throw some light on this?

In this http://archive.deccanherald.com/Deccanherald/july102004/d3.asp

The following is written

Speaking about the changes made in the book Mathe Mahadevi said, of the 1,456 available 'Vachanas' of lord Basaveshwara, she had changed the pen-name from 'Kudalasangama Deva' to 'Lingadeva' in 1,342 vachanas

Is there any reason for change in Ankita naam.
Is it correct to change the Ankita naam?

Sharanu,

This 'Ankita Name' Issue still exists, Dr. Pujya Mataji has written a book 'Lingadevana Leela Vilas' in that used the Kudalasangam Vachanankit which Guru Basava written before invention of Ishtalinga, Vachanas were written after this event, Pujya Mataji used as 'Lingadeva'.
This is the controversy.
