Eleshwara Ketayya belongs to Eleri (Eleshwari) villae of Kalburgi district. Sayideviyamma was his wife. He was engaged in agriculture. He believed in the principle that ‘strict conduct protects the body, awareness protects the mind’. 74 vachanas have been found under the signature Eleshwaralinga. They underline the value of discipline and moral practice
